Datsun Race Car For Sale

Selling my 1973 Datsun 510 2-door. This is not a show car, but I have spent the last 8 years building and improving this car, with a lot of time, money, and attention to detail invested in it.
The car retains all of its original body panels, and the blue is the original paint. The black carbon-fiber-look areas are a wrap that was installed several years ago.
This 510 is powered by an S15 SR20DET with the stock turbo, professionally installed and dyno tuned to 286 horsepower at the wheels. It has a Nissan 6-speed transmission and a Nismo/Subaru clutch-type LSD with 3.73 gearing.

1972 Datsun 510 SCCA Racecar

Hey Friends .Time to put my last cars up for sale
Here we have
1971 Datsun 510 4-Door — From Original Owner — California Car — 78,000 Original Miles — No Rust
It is a very nice 1971 Datsun 510 4-door with a 4-speed manual transmission.
This is a special car with a great history. The original owner purchased the car new in April 1971 in California, and the car remained with the original owner until I purchased it. It was always kept covered and stored in a garage.
The car has 78,000 original miles, all original body panels, the original interior, and no rust. It runs and drives great.
Mechanical & Recent Work
L20B engine with approximately 100 miles
4-speed manual transmission
Original matching-numbers L-16 engine included with the car
L20B engine was installed in 1990 and was not run until May 2026
Weber 32/36 carburetor
Electronic ignition
Aluminum radiator
New battery
New tires
New rear brake drums/pads
Runs and drives great
Original Documentation & History
This car comes with some excellent original documentation:
Purchased new by the original owner in April 1971
Original matching-numbers L-16 engine included
Original owner's manual
Original warranty booklet
Original warranty registration card
Additional original paperwork
Original body panels
Original interior
The paint was applied in 1990, and the car was then parked and stored in a covered garage. The L20B engine was installed at that time, but the car was not put back on the road until May 2026.
Electrical
Everything electrical works with the exception of:
Headliner light
Dashboard indicator for the right turn signal
This is a very solid, rust-free 1971 Datsun 510 with an unusually well-documented history. Finding an early 510 with 78,000 original miles, original-owner history dating back to April 1971, original body panels, original interior, California history, no rust, original documentation, and the original matching-numbers L-16 engine included is getting increasingly difficult.
The car is not being represented as a perfect restoration. It is an older car with some imperfections and older paint, but it is a great-running, rust-free 510 with an excellent foundation for a collector, driver, or restoration project.
