It is a very nice 1971 Datsun 510 4-door with a 4-speed manual transmission.
This is a special car with a great history. The original owner purchased the car new in April 1971 in California, and the car remained with the original owner until I purchased it. It was always kept covered and stored in a garage.
The car has 78,000 original miles, all original body panels, the original interior, and no rust. It runs and drives great.

The paint was applied in 1990, and the car was then parked and stored in a covered garage. The L20B engine was installed at that time, but the car was not put back on the road until May 2026.

This is a very solid, rust-free 1971 Datsun 510 with an unusually well-documented history. Finding an early 510 with 78,000 original miles, original-owner history dating back to April 1971, original body panels, original interior, California history, no rust, original documentation, and the original matching-numbers L-16 engine included is getting increasingly difficult.
The car is not being represented as a perfect restoration. It is an older car with some imperfections and older paint, but it is a great-running, rust-free 510 with an excellent foundation for a collector, driver, or restoration project.
