EOI – 1968 Datsun Bluebird 510
SSS Livery / Heritage

Taking expressions of interest on my RHD ’68 Bluebird.

I originally planned to relocate the car overseas, however my circumstances have now changed and it will now remain in the U.S. I’m testing the market with genuine Datsun/510 enthusiasts.

I’ve spent 2026 working through the car mechanically and addressing the small items that make a 50+ year-old car as enjoyable to drive as it is to admire.

Specification / recent work:
L18
Weber 40 DCOEs
A/C
5-speed dogleg transmission
Silvermine coilovers
Wilwood 4-pot front brakes / rear drums
Recaro seats
SSS cluster
Hayashi Impul wheels
New clutch master cylinder
New fuel pump
Electrical system work

The car runs, drives and presents very well. It is not being represented as a fully restored example, and I’m happy to provide detailed photos, videos and full condition information to serious buyers.

No need to sell — EOI only at this stage.

Selling my 1969 Datsun 510. Clean title, no accidents, and a very solid car overall. Underside and common rust areas are in great condition.

Engine is currently out of the car but has been professionally rebuilt by JMS Racing in El Monte. L18 block with L16 head and quality internal components.

Car also has CX Racing coilover suspension along with upgraded suspension components/bushings from Troy Ermish Racing.

I simply don’t have the time to finish the project. Great opportunity for someone looking for a solid 510 with some expensive parts already bought.

FB limits me on how many details/photos I can share, text or call me for a further in depth conversation. Happy to answer any questions.

Testing waters to see if someone is interested in a rust free 2dr 510. I’m contemplating selling my project to fund another. I’m in no need to sell so low ball offers and is this available will be ignored. This is a complete shell with all glass. I have many boxes of wiring and other parts also. The car has been stripped to bare metal and epoxy primed. It has also been undercoated with second skin firewall and sound deadener. It has 280zx front struts with Koni inserts and T3 coil conversion with copper swift coils and T3 camber plates. Also has new rear T3 coils-overs. Vehicle has Wilwood calipers and stop tech rotors on all 4 corners. The front has been converted to rack and pinion steering with a JB coachwork crossmember. It has custom made front suspension components. The engine in the vehicle is not included. No interior other than dash. Price will be 15k as these are getting hard to find. It is in storage currently but if interest is high and someone is serious can arrange showing.

Car is in great shape for an unrestored Datsun, runs and drives great, engine freshly resealed, all fluids done. Daily driver level reliability, has been all over the state. Car comes with a rebuildable "big block" L20B, 280zx struts and brakes, as well as some other small parts. Would drive across the state without a second thought.

Out of town but will update pictures and will be available to show soon. Looking for either cash or trades for a clean manual Toyota pickup, 2wd or 4wd. Other trades potentially, send info. Any questions just ask. Thanks
