1972 Datsun 510 VIN: PL510343324 This car is nimble and a ton of fun. Less than 200 miles have been put on the car since the mechanical rebuild. It is not a complete concours build, but it is a solid foundation ready to be taken to the next level. Clean title, present Montana Reg. Please read the "Needs" list below carefully—it requires a little finishing work. NEEDS / MAINTENANCE: Needs a basic tune-up: check timing and spark plugs. Has new points, but needs a new rotor and distributor cap. Needs a new clutch master cylinder installed. Speedometer and gas gauge are currently not working. ENGINE SPECS (L18 1.8L): 1974 L18 block (from Datsun Pickup), fully rebuilt. Head: A87 SSS Head, completely ported/polished with new oversized Z-car valves. Internals: New pistons/rings, bearings, seals/gaskets, oil pump, timing chain/guides, and water pump. Induction: Dual 38mm Hitachi SUs (Rebuilt by Z Therapy). Exhaust: 2-inch piping with MagnaFlow muffler. Cooling: New VW Jetta aluminum cross-flow radiator with temp switch. DRIVELINE: Transmission: Z-car 5-speed manual swap with fresh Redline fluids. Clutch: New clutch with stainless steel braided line. Differential: Stock diff with fresh Redline fluids. SUSPENSION: Front: Nissan Motor Sports springs/struts. Struts shortened to use 240Z inserts. Mulholland swaybar, alignment spacers, and new ball joints. Rear: Tokico shocks, Suspension Techniques rear springs, and sway bar. BRAKES: Front: 1986-92 Mazda RX7 4-piston calipers paired with 1986+ CG30 Nissan Maxima rotors (4-lug, vented). Rear: Aluminum finned Z-car drums and shoes (all new). Lines: New stainless steel braided lines all around. BODY / INTERIOR: Painted in Metallic Copper (Dec ‘05). Mini Lite style wheels Sport seats. Life Hit and My loss is your gain. Was in the middle of prepping for final painting when Car accident damaged my back. No longer have the motivation nor energy to finish the restoration on this thing. Surface rust, comes off with red scotch bright as I did on driver side hood. KA24DE Swapped 510. Engine runs good. Tomei Fuel Pressure Regulator, Bosch 255LPH external fuel pump, Relocated Battery, Oil Catch Can and Prosport Gauges installed in center dash center which is custom made. LED front headlights. Wiper Motor Swap already performed and working well. Radio installed and works but touch screen part no longer works with Touch. Android Auto system so you can connect a mouse and use that if you must. Original door cards (old and worn) Hydraulic Parking Brake developed a leak at front extender from sitting and needs a proper length Drive Shaft and then can be driven and driven hard. 280ZX wheels. Rear Disc brakes already(Maxima), 280ZX front Disc Brakes and Struts. Comes with Extra Wheels. Also Comes with Eastwood roll on primer kit in black with 2 cans of the spray version in black as well.
